Mindfulness derives from sati, a significant element of Hindu and Buddhist traditions and is based on Zen and Tibetan meditation techniques. Though definitions and techniques of mindfulness are wide-ranging. Source Wikipedia

My interpretation is that mindfulness is about being in the moment. To be completely focused and absorbed in what you are doing. So much so, that you loose track of time and everything around you. Our modern lives can be full of stress, worry, anxiety and depression. Practicing the mindfulness of nail art can help direct your attention away from things that drain you and take you to a world of creative self expression and play. The beauty of nail polish allows you to easily remove designs and try something new, over and over!

Our customers do report decreased levels of anxiety and depression. By sharing their nail art on social media and connecting with like minded individuals they also find it builds friendships and a sense of community. Some use nail art as a way to unwind after a busy day in a stressful job. Some turn to nail art for the beauty aspect and some simply as a way to be creative. The benefits are wide and varied.
